Ike Sturm - The Aldrich Museum 

3-4 p.m. 

"Ike has performed with many gifted musicians including Gene Bertoncini, Theo Bleckmann, Ingrid Jensen, and more. He released the album Jazz Mass, which is composed of voices, strings and soloists that merges diverse musical languages into a powerfully unified aesthetic, it aims to engage others in environmental awareness and activism through music and volunteer activities."

Jane Monheit - The Ridgefield Playhouse 8-10 p.m.

Carlos Manuel Gomez Quartet - Ridgefield Library 4-5pm

The Carlos Gomez Quartet brings the rhythms of Cuba to life through both Latin and Afro-Cuban Jazz improvisation. The all-Cuban quartet is a distinguished group of professional musicians, including master pianist Carlos Manuel Gomez, Grammy-winning saxophonist Felipe Lamoglia, with Alberto Miranda on the bass and Alejandro Enriquez on drums. The concert is free thanks to the Friends of the Ridgefield Library.

Jazz Vespers

St. Stephen's, 5:30 pm

Join in a jazz-and-funk infused vesper service featuring St. Stephen’s own Minister of Music Alcee Chriss III. Alex Silver, an up and coming jazz saxophonist who studied at The New School of Music, is among the talented group of New York based musicians who will also lead this service. Words and music all center around the theme of creation.

Mavis Staples - The Ridgefield Playhouse 8-10pm

"Grammy award-winner Mavis Staples is known by NPR as 'one of America's defining voices of freedom and peace.' Along with winning multiple music awards, this chart-topping soul/gospel/R&B artist has marched with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., performed at John F. Kennedy's inauguration, and sang in Barack Obama's White House. She has collaborated with everyone from Prince and Bob Dylan to Ben Harper, who produced her new album, We Get By."

Brian Butler Quartet - The Lounsbury House 2-4 p.m. 

The Brian Butler Quartet is a straight-ahead jazz group featuring the wonderful singer Noreen Mola. The quartet is regularly featured at Sarah’s Wine Bar and Cave A Vin in New Haven. Its members have performed separately or
together in numerous venues in Western Connecticut and Westchester including Luc’s, Lucky Chou’s in New Haven, Jimmy’s in NYC, and many others, and have been featured as part of New Haven’s Jazz Week.
